    "Al-Sharqiya Agriculture" holds a workshop to introduce investment opportunities in Qatif​

    ​​The Asharqia Chamber, in cooperation with the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Eastern Province, organized on Tuesday 24 May 2022 a workshop that reviewed investment opportunities in the Qatif Governorate, in the presence of a remarkable number of investors in the region. 

    The Deputy Director General of the branch, Eng. Mubarak bin Hamoud Al-Otaibi said that the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture seeks to maximize the benefit of its diversified assets by strengthening cooperation with the private sector to develop and invest in quality agricultural, livestock, and fish projects in various regions and governorates of the Kingdom, which aims to produce high-quality vegetables as well as Contribute to achieving sustainable safe food in addition to rationalizing water consumption in irrigation operations through the use of modern agricultural techniques in addition to agricultural activities in all regions by the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. 

    Eng. Al-Otaibi also added during the workshop, which was moderated by the Vice-Chairman of the Agriculture and Food Committee in the Chamber, Hussein bin Abdul Rahman Al-Dossari, Mubarak bin Saad Al-Dosari, that the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Eastern Region plays a major role in spreading the culture of investment and benefiting from the ministry’s various services through various programs and activities. implemented by the branch and its affiliated offices in all governorates. 

    The Director of the Investment Department in the Ministry, Nawaf bin Abdul Rahman Al-Abdul Karim, stated that the ministry is offering many vital investment projects, in cooperation with the private sector, to achieve healthy food security through the use of modern, economically feasible, productive and high-quality technologies, reducing the consumption of natural resources, preserving the environment and human health.     The Director of Investment in the branch, Eng. Mahfouz Al-Khadrawi stated that the success of any investment in the region is the result of effective and distinguished cooperation between the Ministry’s branch and the Chamber of Commerce in the Eastern Province to hold an introductory workshop in this regard and to invite businessmen and investors in the agricultural field to provide an opportunity for investors to submit inquiries and take their opinions and scientific and practical experiences and that one of the These important projects are the project (Aquaculture and Marketing Services Center in the Eastern Province) in Qatif Governorate.

    Engineer Hussein Al-Naziri reviewed an investment opportunity in the Qatif Governorate, while the representative of the Plant Wealth Department for Investment Opportunities in the Ministry, Fahd Al-Mahesh, spoke about investment opportunities in hydroponics projects and the comparison between them and traditional agriculture about the quality of agricultural products, the most important determinants of production under the hydroponics system, and the most important crops Under the hydroponics system.
